As the fire service continues to come to terms with the tragedy in Charleston, South Carolina, another fire in Ormond Beach, Florida, gives us an example of "what might have been".

While strikingly similar in nature, the Florida fire received no national press, breaking news, or live coverage.  The fire service is already beginning to debate the tactics and policies in place at the fire in Charleston, looking for a reason that nine firefighters should lose their lives.
